German Speaking Inbound Sales/Commercial Executive  Manufacturing Industry
Location: Sheffield
Salary:  up to £35K top end
Office Pattern: Office-based, 5 days per week
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are recruiting for a leading manufacturing business based in Sheffield. Their components are used across a wide range of industries, including some niche areas within heavy industry. We’ll share more about the company and the specific sector they operate in once we speak further.
This role is a Commercial Executive / Inbound Sales position. There is no outbound sales involved — the focus is on processing and converting quotations into sales, which is where the sales element comes in.
They need someone with a strong sense of urgency and a good understanding of quotations and how to convert them.

Key Responsibilities

  • It’s dealing with inbound sales enquiries coming in daily
  • There could be 15 to 20 client enquiries
  • They’re all from both German and English-speaking clients
  • Converting these enquiries into sales, by providing quotations
  • Then following up quickly on the quotations to secure the order
  • It’s a bit like a trading role, quickly sourcing the right products
  • Listening to the customer requirements
  • Then coming up with that solution and going back to the customer quickly

The type of person they need

  • Sales experience is their preferred option
  • If not, someone who understands the urgency of working quickly
  • And has maybe done quotations before
  • And is confident that they can turn a quotation into a sale. So:
  • Experience with a CRM or ERP system
  • Or order processing or another manufacturing environment would be great as well
  • A pure graduate who thinks they can do the role and would enjoy it would also be considered
  • All applicants should be confident and happy to speak on the phone with clients
  • Someone who can work quickly and accurately
  • Strong IT skills — though there will be full training on the actual systems and role
