Office Pattern: Fully office-based, though may consider 1 day from home after training
Hours: 8:00–16:30 or 9:00–17:30 – there can be some flexibility around this

About the Company
We are recruiting for a leading promotional clothing and accessories retailer that partners with major brands to supply bulk orders to business customers across the UK and Europe. Germany and France are key growth markets for them.
Key Responsibilities

  • Handling inbound product order enquiries from a range of clients
  • These will be incoming from both German and English speaking clients
  • 90% of the job is email based, 10% telephone
  • Listening to customer needs, and finding best matched products
  • Sourcing products from the warehouse based on the clients wishes
  • Researching other options as per their needs
  • Processing orders accurately using the system
  • Reviewing trade account applications and verifying businesses meet criteria
  • Processing the trade account applications in German and English
  • Following up on quotes, incomplete purchases, and chasing payments
  • Attending one major trade event in Düsseldorf each year in January

The Person They’re Looking For

  • Previous customer service experience preferred, though they are happy to train
  • Fluent German language skills is a must and able to understand dialects
  • High energy and high enthusiasm!
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong ability to listen to a customer’s requirements and act on them
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach
  • Strong IT skills, able to learn different software programmes
  • Comfortable handling multiple enquiries at once
  • Willing to work in an office-based environment
  • Eager to learn and develop in the role
  • Ability to research and verify client information
  • Some IT/database familiarity (training provided)
  • Interest in premium outdoor brands beneficial
